Venntro Media Group joins the Online Dating Association

London: Venntro Media Group, Europe’s largest privately owned online dating and lifestyle services company, has joined the Online Dating Association (ODA). All sites on the company’s UK Mainstream network are now certified members of the association – set up to establish a Code of Practice to uphold industry standards and keep daters safe online.

The ODA is a self-regulating trade body, set up by key players within the industry, that encourages the sector to work together to set standards and deliver safe user experiences. Their Code of Practice, which all members must adhere to, outlines policies that ensure the protection of user’s data and the proper operation of services, as well as offering advice on how to make dating as safe as possible.

Joining the ODA is the latest step Venntro are taking to keep members safe, following their WooWise division, which houses established low cost site Smooch.com. WooWise joined the ODA in June 2015.

The safety of their members has always been a priority for the company, who were awarded the Scamalytics Safer Dating Award at the UK Dating Awards 2015 and Highly Commended in the Best Customer Service category. In 2013, Venntro set up the Online Dating Protector, a service dedicated to protecting members from the dangers of online dating scams.
